- Renowned Indian film and theatre actor Shreeram Lagoo died at his Pune residence. He was 92 years.
- During his filmy career, He acted in over 250 films as well as Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati plays, and directed over 20 Marathi plays.
- In 1978, he won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for Gharaonda movie. He also wrote a book named 'Lamaan' (means ‘the carrier of goods’).
