- The Coal India Limited has appointed Pramod Agarwal as its new Chairman-cum-Managing Director, who is the Senior IAS Officer (1991: batch) of Madhya Pradesh cadre.
- Agarwal will replace Chairman Anil Kumar Jha, who will retire in January 2020.
- Prior to taking up this assignment, Mr. Agrawal is serving as Principal Secretary for Urban Development and Housing Department of Madhya Pradesh state.
