- The Central Government announced the winners of 2019 Inspire Award. In which, Aksa Dayal (student) from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh won the award for designing anti-storm umbrella.
- And, Siddhi Pandey from Chhattisgarh bag the award for designing women safety Device.
- Siddhi has designed a ladies purse under the name 'Woman Safety Purse', which will be helpful in reducing the incidence of molestation.
- Inside the women's safety purse, she has put sirens which will ring an alarm if someone tries to molest a woman. A GPS system has also been installed in this purse so that the location of the woman can also be detected.
- In addition to women's safety purse, Siddhi has also designed safety shoes for women at a very low cost.
- The Inspire Award, instituted by the Union Government's Department of Science and Technology and the National Innovation Foundation, has been successful in inspiring students across the country to innovate.
