Noted social worker Damodar Ganesh Bapat dies

Veteran social worker Damodar Ganesh Bapat died at the age of 84 at a hospital in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh state.
In 2018, President R. N. Kovind honored the Damodar Ganesh Bapat with Padma Shri (India's 4th highest civilian award) for his social work.
Bapat dedicated his entire life to the treatment and service of leprosy patients at Bhartiya Kushta Nivarak Sangh (BKNS) in Janjgir–Champa district, Chhattisgarh.
