- The 9-day National Tribal Festival 'Aadi Mahotsav' begun in Leh-Ladakh. The Tribal Affairs Ministry & Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India are jointly organizing the festival at Polo Grounds of Leh.
- The theme of the 2019 Aadi Mahotsav is “A celebration of the spirit of Tribal Craft, Culture and Commerce”.
- The Union Minister of Tribal Affairs- Arjun Munda unveiled the Leh-Aadi Mahotsav, and it will start from 17th to 25th August 2019.
- The festival will showcase Traditional Art and Handicrafts and Cultural Heritage of the country.
