India's first 3D Traffic Signal launched in Mohali, Punjab

India's first-of-its-kind 3D Traffic Signal launched in Mohali, Punjab. It designed by the students of a Chandigarh university.
The 3D Traffic Signal is a wireless system, named 'Intelights', and It has been installed by Mohali traffic police near the Airport on the basis of the pilot project.
The 3D Traffic Signal system, which was developed by University students over 3-years of intensive research, was in the test trial phase for the last 8-months before its final launch.
It uses CCTV cameras to gather live traffic video and automatically evaluates the traffic density using Artificial Intelligence, and sets the signal timers accordingly.
