Sonia Gandhi becomes new President of Congress Party

Former president of Congress party Sonia Gandhi (age 72 years) appointed as the new Interim President of the party.
She replaced Rahul Gandhi (age 49 years), who had resigned during the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting.
Sonia was born on 9th December 1946 at Lusiana in Italy. She was married to Rahul Gandhi in 1968, who was the 6th Prime Minister of India from 1984 to 1989.
