- The Central Bank of India- RBI cuts Interest Rate by 25 basis points each for the 4th consecutive time. RBI reduces policy Repo Rate by 35 basis points from 5.75% to 5.40%.
- Current RBI Policy Rates Are-
i) Policy Repo Rate:- 5.40%
ii) Reverse Repo Rate:- 5.15%
iii) Marginal Standing Facility Rate (MSF):- 5.65%
iv) Bank Rate:- 5.65%
- This is the 4th time that the Reserve Bank of India has reduced repo rate. The RBI also revised real GDP growth for 2019-20 downwards to 6.9% from 7% in the June policy.
