Saudi Govt Allows Women To Travel Abroad Without Male Guardian's Approval


  • In an official statement, the Government of Saudi Arabia said that he will allow Women to obtain passports and travel abroad without a Male Guardian's Approval.
  • This condition will be applicable to all women after 21-years and the Passport will be given to any of Saudi Women who submit the application.
  • In Saudi Arabia, Women take permission from their Male Guardian's - Husband, Father, and other Male Relatives - to marry, renew their passports or exit the country.
  • Women's Rights activists in Saudi Arabia have campaigned for decades against the guardianship system.
