- 67-years-old R. N. Ravi pledge as the 19th Governor of Nagaland. Ravi replaced Padmanabha Acharya (age 87 years), whose term end on 31st July 2019.
- The Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Arup Kumar Goswami (Acting) administered her the oath at the Raj Bhawan in Kohima.
- Prior to taking over as Nagaland Governor, he served as a former Intelligence Bureau officer and an interlocutor for the Naga peace talks.
