Center Govt nominated Atanu Chakraborty as Director on RBI Central Board

PM Modi led-Center Government has nominated Atanu Chakraborty as a Director on the Central Board of Directors of RBI.
Currently, Mr. Chakraborty is the Secretary of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
The RBI affairs are governed by a Central Board of Directors. The board is appointed by the Indian Government in keeping with the Reserve Bank of India Act.
At present, Reserve Bank of India has 17-members out of which 1-Governor, 3-Deputy Governor, and remaining 13 are Directors.
