V. H. Kageri elected as New Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri (age 58 years) elected as the new Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly.
V. H. Kageri replaced K. R. Ramesh Kumar, who had resigned as the Speaker of Karnataka Assembly.
Prior to this appointment, he served as the Minister for Primary and Secondary Education in BJP Government of Karnataka. He is the 6-times MLA from Sirsi constituency in Uttara Kannada.
