- The 6th Administrator of NASA James Beggs passed away on 23rd April 2020 due to heart failure in his Bethesda home. He was 94 years. He had served as Administrator of NASA from 1981 to 1986.
- Besides, James Beggs had served as an Executive Vice-President and Director of General Dynamics. And, he also worked with NASA between 1968 and 1969 as an Associate Administrator of the Office of Advanced Research and Technology.
