KVIC developed Double Layered 'Khadi Masks' to combat COVID-19


  • The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has developed a double-layered 'Khadi Masks' to combat against the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
  • The Chairman of KVIC Mr. V. K. Saxena said that;
    - These Khadi Masks are made up of double twisted Khadi fabric. Due to this, it will help to retain 70% of the moisture content inside.
    - These masks are made of hand-spun hand-woven khadi fabric which is breathable. And, it is easy to use, easy to wash and biodegradable.
    - And, it providing easy passage for the air to pass through.
  • About KVIC,
    - The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is a statutory body that was formed in April 1957 by the Indian Government. It comes under the control of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, with regard to khadi and village industries within India.
    - KVIC organizes to plan, promote, facilitate, organize and assist in the establishment and development of khadi and village industries in the rural areas.
