- The Government of Delhi has launched the 'Operation Shield' in the 21 hotspot areas to fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) virus. And, the 'Operation Shield' will be implemented in 21 containment zones to curb the spread of infection.
- What is Operation Shield?
- The main purpose of launching this operation is to trace and identify positive coronavirus cases and to eliminate them.
- It involves sealing of hotspot areas, identifying and quarantining suspected cases or contact cases.
- SHIELD stands for Sealing, Home Quarantine, Isolation & Tracing, Essential Supply, Local Sanitation & Door-to-Door Checks.
