- The Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Roorkee along-with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh has jointly developed 'Prana-Vayu' a low-cost portable ventilator. The manufacturing cost of this ventilator is Rs 25,000/-.
- About Prana-Vayu Ventilator,
- It is a closed-loop ventilator that can deliver the required amount of air to the patient, with an automated process controlling the pressure and flow rates.
- Prana-Vayu ventilator can be used for a wide degree of congestions in the respiratory tract and is applicable for all age group patients.
- And, In spite of that, it will be highly useful for Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.
