Padma Shri laureate Nirmal Singh Khalsa passed away at 67

Padma Shri laureate Nirmal Singh Khalsa passed away due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar, Punjab. He was 67 years.
He was a 'Hazoori Ragi' at the Golden Temple, Amritsar. In 2009, he was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution in the field of Arts. He was the first Hazoori Ragi to receive the Padma Shri.
