- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed a first-of-its-kind Casualty Evacuation Bags to transport or isolate persons infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19).

- The bag is water and air-proof. Its shape just like the Rigid-Cylinder.
- The bag is made of Non-woven, Water-repellant fabric with air and Waterproof zippers as well as a Ventilator.
- The bag is coated with a film to cater to a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) environment with requisite protection against blood and viral penetration.
- Besides, Critical care ventilators, advanced, five-layer N-99 face masks, and hand sanitizers are other products developed by DRDO laboratories that are now being mass-produced by the industry to mitigate the Covid19 threat.
