PM Modi Awarded with Russia's highest civilian award


  1. 12th April 2019. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has been awarded with Russian's highest civilian award 'Order of St. Andrew the Apostle'.
  2. The award is being given to the PM Modi for his distinguished achievement in developing the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between Russia and India and deepening the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries.
  3. The award which is given for exceptional services has, since its inception in 1998, been conferred on 18 distinguished personalities.
  4. PM Modi tweeted his appreciation he wrote 'Honoured to receive this prestigious award. I thank President Putin and the people of Russia. Foundations of India-Russia friendship are deep & the future of our partnership is bright.
