Rasikh Salam becomes 2nd cricketer from J&K to play in 2019 IPL


  • Current Affairs 5th April 2019. Rasikh Salam Dar (age 18 years) has become 2nd cricketer from Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) to play in Indian Premier League (IPL) after Parvez Rasool.
  • In December last year, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the player auction for the 2019 IPL for Rupees 20,00,000/-.
  • The 'Rice Bowl' of Kashmir gave another star to the cricketing world. Today Rasikh Salam is an inspiring story to all the budding cricketers of the valley.
  • Salam, a right arm fast bowler made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.
