America Bombers Arriving in Southern China Sea, Told Training is Mission


American Air Force bomber aircraft (B-52 Stratofortress) flew above the South China Sea this week under a training mission. According to the Air Force, the bomber was flying from Anderson Airport on the island of Guam on Tuesday, but it was not disclosed.

An American military official said on Friday that two American bombers flew on the Spratly Islands. China claims its name on this island. China has used the geographical features of the Spratly to create artificial islands. Some of these have been equipped with Beijing military facilities.
