Sambhaji Brigade workers in Akola, Maharashtra, have stoned and beaten up the ashram of Asaram. Jodhpur court sentenced life imprisonment to Asaram on Wednesday. After the court's decision, the Sambhaji Brigade activists rocked the ashram on Patur road and broke into the ashram.
In the case of rape of a minor girl in his ashram in Rajasthan, the self-styled godman Asaram Bapu was convicted on Wednesday by the Jodhpur court and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Special Judge of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Madhusudan Sharma has pronounced his verdict inside Jodhpur central jail. Asaram is imprisoned in this jail.
