Prices of petrol and diesel are skyrocketing. In Delhi, the price of petrol has reached all-time high in last 55 months i.e. Rs. 74.50 per litre, diesel has also reached Rs 65.75 per litre. As 50% of the cost is being taxed, therefore the demand for deduction of taxes on excise duty on fuel prices is increasing. But the finance ministry is against the excise duty imposed by the central government.
