Central Home Ministry has given an information in response to an RTI that there were 1563 incidents of terror attacks in Jammu Kashmir between January 2012 to February 2018 (6 years and 2 months). In these terrorist incidences, where 132 citizens lost their lives. At the same time, 338 security personnel were also martyred. In this period, 758 terrorists have been stacked by security forces. According to the RTI, during the period of 6 years, 1694 intrusions have also been attempted.
