Railway Employees to Work for 65 Years, Railway Federation Protested


The Ministry of Railways has raised the maximum retirement age of the retired employees from 62 years to 65 years. The validity of the scheme to retain retired employees has been increased from September 14, 2018, to December 1, 2019.

The biggest union of the railway employees All India Railwaymen's Federation has opposed this decision of the Ministry. The Federation says that when a large number of young people are roaming around the country unemployed. So where is the scheme to retain retired employees?
