Earth's Clay Rock: A New Source of Global Nitrogen


Researchers at the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the University of California (UC), Davis, have said in a study that a quarter of the total available nitrogen is produced from the destruction of the rock under the earth's soil. The results of this study have been published in journal Science. Studies say that nitrogen in the ecosystem comes from 26% of rocks, and the remaining is obtained from the environment.
