On April 10, 2018, the first meeting of the newly constituted 'Northeast Forum of the Policy Commission' was organized in Agartala, Tripura. The meeting was co-chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Policy Commission, Rajiv Kumar and Minister of State for Development of the North Eastern Region Jitendra Kumar. The northeast forum of the Policy Commission was formed in February 2018.
