The government of Uttar Pradesh launched Ganga Hariteema Yojana (also known as Ganga Greenery) in 27 districts of the state located on the banks of the Ganges River. He was initiated by the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the framework of a function organized on the banks of the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers.
