- Indian archer Abhishek Verma (age 32 years) wins a Gold medal in the Archery World Cup in the Men's individual compound event. And, this Cup was held in Paris, France. In the finals, he defeated American Archer Kris Schaff's by shoot-off to won the title.
- Prior to this, he also won the Gold medal in the 2015 World Archery Cup, which was held in Wroclaw, Poland on the 15th of August.
