Goa celebrates Statehood Day on 30th May Every year

Goa celebrates its Statehood day on 30th May every year. On this day, 30th May 1987 Goa was established as the 25th state of India. Before this, Goa was a union territory (namely, Goa, Daman, and Diu). On this occasion, the Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant said that this day to reflect on people’s achievements and evolve a strategy to achieve the much-desired status of a prosperous and advanced state.
