World Turtle Day celebrated on 23rd May Each year

Each year on 23rd May World Turtle Day is celebrated across the globe. The objective of this day is to encourage international humanitarian action to protect the Oldest Creatures on Earth - Turtles and also to educate people about how to protect turtle and tortoise habitats.
Besides, In Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Zoo, or Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort, or Al Ain Wildlife Park also celebrated the 'World Turtle Day'. It is a 400-hectare zoo located in the foothills of Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi (UAE).
The World Turtle Day is a yearly event that is sponsored by American Tortoise Rescue since 2000.
