- Noted Indian author Ruskin Bond has released its new book 'Hop-On: My Adventures on Boats, Trains & Planes' in ebook format on his 86th birthday. The new book of Ruskin Bond is based on his memorable travel adventure on boats, trains, and planes since childhood. Besides, the illustrations for Ruskin Bond's new book have been done by Samrat Halder.

- Ruskin Bond was born on 19th May 1934 in Kasauli. He has done his graduation in 1950 from Bishop Cotton School in Shimla. As an author, he wrote several books like The Room on the Roof, Rusty Comes Home, The Adventures of Rusty, etc.
- List of Awards he was received, Sahitya Academy Award in 1992 for Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra. And, he was also awarded the Padma Shri (1999) and the Padma Bhushan (2014).
