International Day of Families celebrated on 15th May Each year

Each year on 15th May International Day of Families is celebrated throughout the globe to spread awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic, and demographic processes affecting families.
The theme for the 2020 International Day of Families is 'Families in Development: Copenhagen & Beijing + 25'.
History,
The Day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 1993 with resolution A/RES/47/237 and reflects the importance the international community attaches to families.
