- The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has appointed the V. Vidyavathi as the New Director-General (DG) of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). She is an IAS officer of the 1991 batch of Karnataka cadre. She will also be serving in the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
