- Indian economist and banker Shikha Sharma has been appointed as the New Advisor of Google Pay India. Prior to this, Shikha had served as the Managing Director and CEO of Axis Bank from 2009 to 2018.
- Google has launched the 'Nearby Spot' in Bengaluru, Karnataka. And, after that, it will be launched in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi. The objective of this is to help its users to find stores selling essential goods in their town, during the lockdown.
- Google Pay is a digital wallet platform and online payment system just like Amazon Pay, Paytm. It was released by Google on 11th September 2015.
