Indian Army Chief launched 'Operation Namaste' against Coronavirus (COVID-19)


  • On 27th March, the 28th Chief of Indian Army General Manoj Mukund Naravane has launched 'Operation Namaste' initiative to extend assistance to the government in containing the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
  • Operation Namaste,
    - Under this initiative, the Army has issued different directives to all its bases to insulate the force from the Coronavirus.
    - The Indian Army has also set up a command-wise helpline to deal with any possible eventualities.
    - The Army has set up a total of 28 service quarantine hospitals to deal with Coronavirus cases.
