G20 Nation leaders attend Summit via video conferencing


  • On 26th March, the G20 Nation leaders had been attended the Virtual G20 Summit via video conference. In this summit, All the leaders discussed the challenges which come due to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
  • Highlights,
    - This year G20 Summit was a culmination of the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting and G20 Sherpas Meeting on the COVID-19 pandemic.
    - Besides, All the G20 leaders also supported strengthening the WHO’s mandate in the fight against pandemics, including the delivery of medical supplies, diagnostic tools, treatments, medicines, and vaccines.
  • G20,
    - The G20 (or Group of Twenty) is an international forum for the governments and central bank governors that was founded on 26th September 1999.
    - The 2020 Chair is King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Saudi Arabia).
    - G20 consists of 19 countries + the European Union (EU). The 19 countries are- Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, United States, India, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea.
