Tamil Nadu 38th District becomes 'Mayiladuthurai'


  • In Tamil Nadu, the new 38th district has been formed 'Mayiladuthurai' after bifurcating the Nagappattinam district. This announcement is made by the 7th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri Edappadi K. Palaniswami today.
  • The new Tamil Nadu 38th District will be headquartered at Mayiladuthurai, in the heart of the Delta region.
  • Tamil Nadu,
    - Tamil Nadu shared its boundaries with the Puducherry and the South Indian states of Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Besides, It also shares a maritime border with Sri Lanka.
    - And, Tamil Nadu is bounded by the Eastern Ghats (North), by the Nilgiri Mountains, the Meghamalai Hills, and Kerala (West), by the Bay of Bengal (East), by the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Strait (Southeast), and by the Indian Ocean (South).
