  • Kolkata, West Bengal born Satyarup Siddhanta (age 36 years) has become the first youngest Indian to climb the Seven Volcanic Summits.
  • In spite of that, Satyarup Siddhanta becomes
    - the youngest mountaineer in the world and the first from India to climb both Seven summits and Seven Volcanic Summits.
    - first Indian to climb Mt. Sidley, highest volcano of Antarctica.
    - first Indian to climb Mt. Giluwe, highest volcano of Papua New Guinea.
    - first Indian to climb Mt. Wilhelm, highest mountain of Papua New Guinea.
    - third Indian to climb Mt. Ojos Del Salado, the highest volcano of Chile.
