Indian Air Force gets approval for buy 83 Tejas fighter aircraft


  • On 18th March 2020, the Indian Air Force (IAF) get approval from Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) to buy 83 indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft.
  • In spite of that, The Defence Acquisition Council also accorded approval for the acquisition of indigenous Defence equipment for about Rs 1,300 crore.
  • HAL Tejas,
    The HAL Tejas is an Indian single-engine fighter aircraft, that is indigenously-designed by Aircraft Development Agency (ADA) for IAF and Indian Navy. And, manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
