On 18th March 2020, the Indian Air Force (IAF) get approval from Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) to buy 83 indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft.
In spite of that, The Defence Acquisition Council also accorded approval for the acquisition of indigenous Defence equipment for about Rs 1,300 crore.
