Hyderabad Metro Rail tie-up with Paytm to launch QR-code-based metro tickets


  • On 8th March, The Hyderabad Metro along-with Paytm to launch the QR-code-based metro ticketing system at Rasoolpura Metro Station.
  • Its Objective,
    - It will enable customers to Travel seamlessly and Avoid Queues to Buy tokens at the Metro stations.
    - Due to this, Passengers can easily purchase a ticket by using the Paytm app, and the QR code will be displayed at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates.

    - Paytm is an Indian e-commerce company, which was founded in August 2010 by Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Its headquarters is at Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
    - Paytm app is available in 11 Indian languages.
    - It offers various features to its customers including Mobile & DTH Recharges, Bill Payments, Travel, Movies as well as in-store payments at grocery stores.
    - Due to this app, Customers can easily pay all of Bills & Payments by using Paytm QR code.
