  • NASA Headquarters at Washington D.C. will be named to Mary W. Jackson, she was the first black female engineer at NASA in 1958. NASA is an independent US agency for the response of the civilian space programs, as well as aeronautics and space research.
  • About Mary W. Jackson,
    - Mary Jackson was an American mathematician and aerospace engineer was born on 9th April 1921. She worked at Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, for most of her career. She started as a computer at the segregated West Area Computing division in 1951.
