Union HRD Minister launched NCERT Online Yoga Quiz Competition

  • The Union HRD Minister Union Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank launched the Online Yoga Quiz Competition through video conferencing. And, this Competition has organized by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
  • Objective,
    - Its objective is to create awareness and to motivate children to acquire comprehensive information from authentic sources on different yogic practices.
    - It will also develop a deep understanding and motivating children to apply the understanding of these practices in one’s life and living.
    - And, it will also help children to develop healthy habits and lifestyle and thereby promote sound emotional and mental wellbeing.
  • Highlights,
    - The competition is open for all students of classes 6th to 12th across the country.
    - The questions asked in this Competition will be of Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) and it will be available both in Hindi and English language.
    - The Certificate of merit shall be issued to 100 top scorers.
    - And, it will be open for only one month, starting on 21st June and will close on 20th July 2020.
