Volkan Bozkir - New President of UN General Assembly


  • Turkish diplomat and politician Volkan Bozkir has been elected as the New President of the 75th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He secured the 178 votes out of 193 through secret ballot voting. He will replace Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, who is the Current President of the UN General Assembly.
  • At Present, Volkan Bozkir working as a Justice and Development Party lawmaker from Istanbul and head of the Turkish Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee.
