- The Power Ministry of India & Denmark has inked an MoU to develop a strong, deep, and long-term co-operation between two countries in the power sector on the basis of equality, reciprocity, and mutual benefit.
- Objective,
- The main objective of this MoU is to provide collaboration in areas like;
1. Offshore wind,
2. Long term energy planning,
3. Forecasting,
4. Flexibility in the grid,
5. Consolidation of grid codes to integrate and operate efficiently variable generation options,
6. Flexibility in the power purchase agreements,
7. Variability in renewable energy production.
- Highlights,
- Under this MoU, the Indian electricity market will get the benefit. Besides, a Joint Working Group will also be established. It will be co-chaired by Joint Secretary level officials.
