- The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed the R. K. Chaturvedi as the New Secretary for Chemicals and Petrochemicals Department. He replaced P. Raghavendra Rao, who was retired on 31st May 2020. R. K Chaturvedi is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre.
- Prior to taking up this assignment, he had served as an Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Culture. He had also worked as Chairman of CBSE and as Director-General (DG) in the National Skill Development Authority (NSDA).
