- The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed the Pradip Kumar Tripathi as the New Secretary in the Ministry of Steel. He replaced Binoy Kumar, who was retired on 30th May 2020. P. K. Tripathi is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre.
- Prior to taking up this assignment, he had served as the Special Secretary and Establishment Officer in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
