- Lieutenant General Manoj Pande has been appointed as the 15th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN). He will replace Lieutenant General Podali Shankar Rajeshwar, who retired from his post on 31st May 2020.
- Prior to taking up this assignment, Manoj Pande was the Director General (DG) at Army Headquarters. He had awarded with Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) in 2020 and appointed as an Honorary Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the President of India in November 2019.
