- Each year on 4th July International Day of Cooperatives is celebrated across the world. The objective of this day is to increase the awareness of cooperatives.
- The theme for the 2020 International Day of Cooperatives is "Cooperatives For Climate Action".
- Highlights,
- On 16th December 1992, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed this day under the resolution 47/90. The first Saturday of July 1995 to be proclaimed as the International Day of Cooperatives, marking the centenary of the establishment of the International Cooperative Alliance.
