International Day of Cooperatives celebrated on 4th July Each year

Each year on 4th July International Day of Cooperatives is celebrated across the world. The objective of this day is to increase the awareness of cooperatives.
The theme for the 2020 International Day of Cooperatives is "Cooperatives For Climate Action".
Highlights,
- On 16th December 1992, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed this day under the resolution 47/90. The first Saturday of July 1995 to be proclaimed as the International Day of Cooperatives, marking the centenary of the establishment of the International Cooperative Alliance.
